Lucy Hawkins

I have an MA and PGCE. My art is inspired by the Somerset landscape, it’s plants and wildlife; exploring pattern, shape and colour observed in my immediate natural world, often gathering inspiration from the hedgerow!

I work with mixed media; layering ink, paint, monoprint and collage to make semi abstracted pieces, sometimes more illustrative and decorative – I enjoy colour!

I teach art &  design at Beaminster Secondary school in Dorset. I enjoy showing others how to make art, as well as developing my own practice.
